Cannon allows its property to become “a first class” brothel on Commercial Street (now Regent Street), Salt Lake City. Apostle Heber J. Grant is invited to its opening reception and is stunned to discover himself inside “a regular whore-house.” This situation begins in 1891, and for fifty years church controlled real estate companies lease houses of prostitution.(HOLY SHIT!!)

Apr 14,1904 – First Presidency and apostles decide to resume sale of liquor at church resort of Saltair due to need for non-Mormon patronage.(Just like they’re going to be selling booze in their current BILLION DOLLAR malls, in order to draw traffic and “create a vibrant nightlife downtown.” The church spokesman Bill Dales honestly admitted in a radio interview “that it was always their goal to serve wine.” The more things change, the more they stay the same eh!!)

They gave the gold from their dental work to help pay on the temple, said President Faust. He explained that he had purchased some of that gold, for more than the market price, and has shown the gold fillings to various congregations to illustrate the nature of the sacrifice made by these members.

This sacrifice has been the hallmark of the success of members in the Latin American nations, he noted, indicating that the same principle of sacrifice is needed today, where members in one area can reach out to help those in other areas.

It was also a period of tremendous sacrifice for many on that continent. Many donated “precious possessions” for the Church to sell and use the cash to help build the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple. President Faust told of a faithful Argentine member who had a gold dental bridge extracted to help raise money for a temple in a foreign country, Brazil.

Daniel L. Johnson’s “The Law Of Tithing” talk from the October 2006 General Conference:

He said:

“There are many reasons that are used to not pay tithing, such as medical emergencies, debts, car or home repairs, educational expenses, and insurance. These reasons and others like them are very real and are lived and dealt with every day by many, if not most, of us. These tax our limited financial resources and, if we are not wise stewards of these resources, may result in the inability to meet our tithing obligation to the Lord.”

He then says:

“A lack of compliance with this eternal law is not to be taken lightly and can not only seriously impair our spiritual growth and development, but it can also limit the physical and temporal blessings that we could otherwise enjoy.”

Those windows of heaven are up there folks. The “Loving God” has his hand on the lever and wants to open them so badly, but just can’t, unless you are a MORmON, paying your FULL tithing. If you aren’t, he will withhold blessings from you in every way he can, to punish you for your disobedience…what a crock of shit eh?!! “LOVING FATHER?!!”

THREATS and FEAR is how they rule!!

Daniel then says:

As President Spencer W. Kimball once said: “The Lord herein makes clear that tithing is his law and is required of all his followers. It is our honor and privilege, our safety and promise, our great blessing to live this law of God. To fail to meet this obligation in full is to deny ourselves the promises and is to omit a weighty matter. It is a transgression, not an inconsequential oversight.”

So, there it is, in the words of the great MORmON Prophet and sicko pervert Spencer whack-off KimBALLS; “it is a TRANSGRESSION to not pay tithing, not an inconsequential oversight.”

President Marion G. Romney tells of this incident which happened to him:

Here is what this Bishop said to his congregation(this links to a blog post that I wrote in October of 2005 regarding this jerk off), according to a missionary who was there and proud of the Bishop; when he said they’d have a cursing come down upon them if they didn’t start doing missionary work:

“Sunday was crazy we had our stake meeting with Lenexa stake at 7:00 am. We then went straight to church at 9:00. It was ward conference and Bishop Stephenson talked on some things that the ward needs to work on. The last thing that he spoke of was missionary work. HE said that the Lord is not pleased with the lack of missionary work that the members are doing. HE said that the Lord is withholding blessings and that if they did not start doing their missionary work that the Lord would bring down a cursing upon them. I think that I was the first time that I have heard a bishop or anyone in church prophesy. We then had meetings until 4:00.”

I previously held back this ASSHOLE Bishop’s name until February of this year…but I’ve now released it to the world for all to know…again BISHOP STEPHENSON from the Lenexa, Kansas stake…spread the word about what this man said and did…he’s a disgrace.

Faith in the payment of tithes and offerings increases despite the straitened economic circumstances in which we find ourselves. We are able to go forward with the building of meetinghouses and temples, with our vast education program, with the very many activities which are conditioned upon the tithing income of the Church. I promise you that we will not put the Church in debt. We will strictly tailor the program to the tithing income and use these sacred funds for the purposes designated by the Lord.

 I call attention to that which has received much notice in the local press. This is our decision to purchase the shopping mall property immediately to the south of Temple Square.

We feel we have a compelling responsibility to protect the environment of the Salt Lake Temple. The Church owns most of the ground on which this mall stands. The owners of the buildings have expressed a desire to sell. The property needs very extensive and expensive renovation. We have felt it imperative to do something to revitalize this area. But I wish to give the entire Church the assurance that tithing funds have not and will not be used to acquire this property. Nor will they be used in developing it for commercial purposes.

Funds for this have come and will come from those commercial entities owned by the Church. These resources, together with the earnings of invested reserve funds, will accommodate this program.

They must think that EVERYONE reading The Church News is dumb as a box of rocks and if they actually believe that headline…THEY ARE!! THINK ABOUT IT FOR ONE SECOND!!

If growth is really the problem, they’d be increasing the number of missions and missionaries, not shutting down missions and merging them with other missions…it’s a NO BRAINER, if you have a brain!!

Finally, here is the link to John Dehlin’s podcast regarding his mission in Guatemala and all of the bullshit that he had to suffer through, for simply wanting to do what was right and true, thinking that that was what his leaders would want…LOL!!(I experienced the SAME, EXACT things on my mission!!) John then had a wake up call the size of the Grand Canyon, but unfortunately, not a big enough one, as he now regrets recording any podcasts he did that weren’t “FAITH PROMOTING”(a la Disneyworld fantasy), as he believes that the FAIRY TALES and bullshit of MORmONISM, are more important than the truth. He didn’t feel that way before.

As he recently stated in an interview and I paraphrase him..”When I was away from the church for that year, I was in darkness and when I came back…the light came back on and has stayed on ever since.” WOW…if the church is light to him…he must have been in a very dark place that only exists in his mind and I can’t understand what darkness would be to him?!!

The only reason he re-posted his podcasts like this one, at all, was because he screwed himself and released them all as FAIR-USE and someone else was going to post them anyway, without his permission…so he thought that he might as well re-post them and be in charge of them and have the control. For those that are interested, I’ll find and post the link of the entire conversation/fight that he had on a chat board regarding this issue and it got very NASTY, with threats of Lawyers, etc!!
